Rajini’s confession!

The Ulaganayagan Kamal 50 show, organized by Vijay TV to honor the achievements of Kamal in the world of cinema raised quite a few eyebrows. The Nehru Indoor Stadium was bursting at its seams with the who’s who of the film fraternity attending the same.
Few interesting occurrences spiced up the event, like the superstar’s confession about where he learnt acting. In his address, Rajini mentioned that during his earlier days, when he worked with Kamal in KB’s movies, the latter tipped him on how amazing an actor Kamal was and that how Rajini should learn the art from him. “From then on, I started observing Kamal in the sets and began to infuse his flavors in my acting. I learnt Kamal’s nuances when I worked with him and tried to bring it in my performance,” Rajini confessed.
He also revealed that he wasn’t comfortable signing up for Robot since the movie was scripted with Kamal in mind. “However, Shankar convinced me that he has made necessary changes and modifications to suit it to my character. Only after deliberations, I decided to take the project,” he added.

கமல்ஹாசன் ஒரு நிஜமான சகலகலாவல்லவன், சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் என்று பாராட்டியுள்ளார் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்த்.நடிப்பில் பொன் விழா கண்டுள்ள கமல்ஹாசனுக்கு விஜய் டிவி பாராட்டு விழா எடுத்தது. சென்னையில் நடந்த இந்த விழாவில் தென்னிந்தியத் திரையுலகின் உச்ச நட்சத்திரங்களான ரஜினிகாந்த் , மம்முட்டி, மோகன்லால், வெங்கடேஷ் உள்ளிட்ட திரையுலகமே திரண்டு வந்து பாராட்டியது.விழாவில், ரஜினி காந்த் பேசுகையில், கமலைப் பற்றி பேச வேண்டுமானால் 2 நாள் வேண்டும். 1975களில் அவர் சூப்பர் ஸ்டாராக இருந்த காலங்களில்தான் நான் தமிழ் சினிமாவிற்குள் வந்தேன். நாங்கள் இணைந்தும் படங்களில் நடித்து கொண்டிருந்த காலம் அது.இளமை ஊஞ்சலாடுகிறது படத்தில் என்னை நடிக்க சிபாரிசு செய்தவரே கமல்தான். அவர் நினைத்திருந்தால் என்னை நடிக்க விடாமல் செய்திருக்க முடியும்.நினைத்தாலே இனிக்கும் படம்தான் நாங்கள் இணைந்து நடித்த கடைசி படம். அப்போது கமல் என்னிடம் சொன்னார். ரஜினி நாம் இனிமேல் இணைந்து நடிக்க வேண்டாம். அப்படி நடித்தால் புகழ் பெயர் வாங்க முடியாது. நீங்கள் உங்களை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். தமிழ் சினிமா உலகில் ஜாக்கிரதையாக இருங்கள் என்று கூறி என்னை உற்சாக மூட்டினார். இது மட்டுமல்ல நாம் பிரிந்தாலும் என் படங்களில் உள்ள கலைஞர்களை நீங்கள் பயன்படுத்துங்கள். உங்கள் படங்களில் உள்ளவர்களை நான் பயன்படுத்துகிறேன் என்று கூறினார். சிரஞ்சீவி, அமிதாப், மம்முட்டி, மோகன்லால் எல்லோரும் நினைக்கலாம் கமல் என்ற சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் இருக்கும்போது ரஜினி எப்படி இவ்வளவு பெரிய ஹீரோவானான். நான் கமல் நடிப்பை பார்த்துதான் இந்த அளவுக்கு முன்னேறி உள்ளேன். குருநாதர் பாலச்சந்தர் எங்கள் 2 பேரையும் வைத்து இயக்கினார். அப்போது சூட்டிங்கில் கமல் நடித்து கொண்டிருப்பார். நான் அவர் நடிப்பை பார்க்காமல் சிகரெட் பிடிக்க வெளியே சென்றுவிடுவேன். குருநாதர் என்னை தேடுவார். நான் வந்தவுடன் எங்கடா போனே தம் அடிக்கவா? ஏன்டா. கமல் நடிப்பை பாருடா நடிப்பை கத்துக்கோடா என்று கூறுவார்.அதன் பிறகு கமல் நடிக்கும்போது அவரது நடிப்பை கவனித்தேன். தம் அடிக்க போகவே மாட்டேன். கமல் பாதை வேற மாதிரி. அதை நான் பின்பற்றாமல் எனக்கு வேற ரூட் ஒன்றை போட்டேன் கொஞ்சம் புத்தியை யூஸ் பண்ணினேன்.நான் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ரோபோ..எந்திரன் படம் கமல் நடிக்க வேண்டிய படம். அவருக்குதான் ஷங்கர் ரெடி பண்ணினார். ஆனால் சில கால தாமதத்தால் இப்போது மாறி போய் உள்ளது. ஷங்கர் ரோபோ பற்றி என்னிடம் கதையை சொல்லும்போது நான் நடிக்கமாட்டேன். இது கமலுக்காக தயார் செய்த கதை. அதில் என்னை கொண்டு வரமுடியாது என்றேன். ஆனால் ஷங்கர் சார் இது உங்களுக்காக வேறு மாதிரி செய்துள்ளேன்.கமல் உண்மையான சகலகலா வல்லவன். கலையரசி தாய், என்னை, மம்முட்டி, மோகன்லால், சிரஞ்சீவி , வெங்கடேஷ் ஆகியோரை கைகளால் பிடித்து கொண்டுள்ளார். ஆனால் கமலை மட்டும் மார்போடு அனைத்து பாதுகாத்து உள்ளார். ஏன் இப்படி செய்கிறீர்கள், என்று நாங்களும் நடிகர்கள்தானே என்று கலையரசியிடம் கேட்டேன்.அதற்கு அவர் சொன்னார், நீ சினிமாவிற்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று இந்த ஜென்மத்தில்தான் ஆசைபடுகிறாய். ஆனால் கமல் 10 ஜென்மத்திற்கு முன்பே இருந்து ஆசைப்பட்டு கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்றார் ரஜினி.

ரஜினி நிஜமாவே சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்...

கமல்ஹாசன் பேசுகையில், நான் இந்த விழா சின்னதாக நடக்கும் என்று எதிர்பார்த்தேன். ஆனால் இது இவ்வளவு மிகப்பெரிய விழாவாக நடக்கிறது. நான் இந்த அளவுக்கு வந்தேன் என்பதற்கு நீங்கள் என்மீது வைத்துள்ள அன்புதான்.அன்பால்தான் முன்னேறி உள்ளேன். நான் சினிமாவிற்கு வரும்போது நிறைய கனவுகளோடு வந்தேன். ஆனால் அது ஒன்று கூட நிறைவேறவில்லை. என்னால் நிறைவேற்ற முடியவில்லை.50 வருடம் சாதித்துள்ளேன் என்று கூறுகிறீர்கள் அதற்கு அன்புதான் காரணம். ரஜினி ஒரு சூப்பர் ஸ்டார். அவர் தன்னை தாழ்த்தி என்னை உயர்த்தியுள்ளார். அவர் உண்மையான சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்தான். எனக்கும் அவருக்கும் இடையே உள்ள நட்பு ஆழமானது. எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிவாஜி போன்ற நட்பு இல்லை, அதையும் தாண்டியது.எனக்கு கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. நாத்திகன் என்று கூறுகிறார்கள். அந்த வார்த்தை எனக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. பகுத்தறிவாளன் என்று கூற வேண்டும். என் மகள் எனக்காக தினமும் கடவுளிடம் வேண்டுகிறார். ஆனால் அவரின் அன்பை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்றார்.

எனக்கும் போட்டி-மம்முட்டி:

நடிகர் மம்முட்டி பேசுகையில், கமல் மலையாளத்தில்தான் கதாநாயகனாக அறிமுகமானார் என்பதை நினைக்கும்போது எனக்கு பெருமையாக உள்ளது. அவர் 50 வருட கலை சேவகர், அவருக்கும் எனக்கும் இப்போது போட்டி நடந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறது.அவரும் 3 தேசிய விருது வாங்கியுள்ளார். நானும் வாங்கியுள்ளேன். அடுத்த விருது யார் வாங்கப் போகிறார்கள் என எங்களுக்குள் போட்டி என்றார்.நடிகர் மோகன்லால் பேசுகையில், இப்போது உள்ள இளம் நடிகர்கள் கமல் போல் நடித்து பேர் புகழ் பெறலாம். ஆனால் கமலாகவே மாற முடியாது. கமல் என்றைக்கும் கமல்தான் என்றார்.தெலுங்கு நடிகர் வெங்கடேஷ் பேசுகையில், நான் சென்னை டான் போஸ்கோ பள்ளியில்தான் படித்தேன். லயோலா கல்லூரியில்தான் படித்தேன். அப்போது கமல் படம் என்றால் தியேட்டரில் விசில் அடித்து ஆடி கொண்டிருப்பேன்.இந்தியன் 10 தடவை, குணா 20 தடவை என அவரின் படங்களை பலமுறை பார்த்துள்ளேன். பார்த்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன் என்றார்.

கடவுளுக்கு கமல் மீது நம்பிக்கை-இளையராஜா:

இசைஞானி இளையராஜா பேசுகையில், இது குடும்ப விழா. நேற்று சரஸ்வதிக்கு பூஜை இன்று அவரது மகனுக்கு பூஜை. அவருக்கு கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. ஆனால் கடவுள் அவர் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைத்துள்ளார் என்றார். விழாவில் பிரபு தேவா தனது தந்தை சுந்தரத்துடன் இணைந்து கமல் பட பாடலுக்கு நடனம் ஆடினார். மேலும் நடிகைகள் சானா கான், ருக்மணி, ஷோபனா ஆகியோரும் கமல்ஹாசன் பட பாடல்களுக்கு நடனம் ஆடினர்.

Best Actor Awards for Rajini and Kamal

The two top guns of Tamil Cinema have bagged State film awards this year. Rajinikant’s ‘Sivaji’ won him the best actor award and also bagged the best film award for 2007,Kamal Haasan’s ‘Dasavatharam’ got him the best actor award for 2008 and was is also the best film for 2008.
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi won a prize for the dialogues for Uliyin Osai (2008). Suriya andJyotika also also won awards for Varanam Ayiram and Mozhi respectively. Sneha won the award for Pirivom Sandhippom. Thankar Bachan the best director for 2007 for Pallikoodam. Radha Mohan won it for 2008 for Abhiyum Naanum. Trisha also won a special award for the same.
For 2007, the special prize went to Sathyaraj for his role as Periyar and Priyamvatha for her role in ‘Mirugam.’ There were 31 awards announced for 2007 and 34 for 2008.

Rajini admires Kamal!

While fans and media are celebrating Kamal’s ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, VIPs of the industry who saw the film are appreciating Kamal on the other hand.
Kamal received a surprised phone call from Rajinikanth on September 19th. On the other end of the line a cool shock was waiting for Ulaganayagan - “Kamal I have to see your Unnaipol Oruvan,” said our Superstar. The very next day (Sunday), Kamal booked a special show in AVM studio at 5 pm as well as invited Rajini.
Kamal made Rajini comfortable at the theater and made director Mysskin to accompany him all through the show. During the interval, Mysskin lit Rajini’s cigarette, to his shock Rajini lit Mysskin’s cigarette. “He has taken the film a step ahead of ‘A Wednesday’. It’s possible only for Kamal,” said Superstar appreciatively to Mysskin.
On seeing Kamal after the show, Rajini had embraced him after a long time and has congratulated him for his efforts. “It’s simply a grand attempt,” said Rajini to our Ulaganayagan.
When today’s industry is suffocated with the ego clashes of mass heroes, we ought to celebrate this kinda ego-free friendship...

Endhiran’s blazing climax

The shooting of Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ is fast approaching its climax! Currently the team is busy in putting its heart and sweat into the making of the movie’s climax.
Being the significant part of the movie, the scene features a fire bursting out of a scientist’s laboratory. This is said to be only a 4-min scene, however an elaborate set has been erected in the city’s Prasad Studios.
The production team has specially flown down few Hollywood visual effects companies to supervise this fire scene. This expertise will decide as to how and where special effects would be applicable while editing later.
Now, did you know that this is something new and done for the first time in our Indian cinema? Well, this method was earlier followed by a famous American filmmaker George Lucas in several Hollywood flicks of his times. Shankar had recently highlighted the importance of special effects and graphics in movies.
A dedicated man he is, our Superstar has insisted on staying on the sets, to see the shooting; although he has no role to play in it.
Hmm, now if such interesting things are happening on the sets, one would be really thrilled to experience the happenings live! Right?

Rajini’s new chatty friend

If anything, other than the shoots, is keeping Rajini busy on the sets of Endhiran, it’s Revathy Sankaran. The noted humorist and TV show host is actually keeping the superstar engaged with her wit and humor during the Endhiran shoot breaks. Before we forget, she is playing Rajini’s mother in the Shankar directed animation extravaganza.
Revathy is famous for her humorous speeches and tongue in cheek references during TV shows. She has also had a brief stint in cinema attempting her hand at comedy before making a comeback of sorts with Endhiran.

State awards for Rajini, Kamal?

It's not every day that you see Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan on the same platform. But one such grand event is in the offing soon, if sources are to be believed.
It is said that the Tamil Nadu government has adjudged Rajini the best actor of the year 2007 (for Sivaji) and Kamal the best actor of the year 2008 (for Dasavatharam). A formal announcement in this regard is expected soon.
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi would honour the top actors of Tamil cinema at a grand function which is to be held soon in Chennai, it is learnt.
It may be recalled that Rajinikanth bagged the award for his performance in ‘Chandramukhi’ in 2005, Kamal Haasan won it for the 2006 release ‘Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu’. Both were presented awards at a function in 2007.

Title singer changes for Rajini

Superstar Rajinikanth has one of most enviable fan following in the industry. His punch dialogues and style of acting has wooed many people across the globe.
One of the highlights of his movies are the title songs which have been targeted at the masses. These songs have usually been sung by popular playback singer SP Balasubramanyam.
However there seems to be a change in the latest Rajni flick 'Endhiran'. Sources indicate that it will be the talented and fusion based singer Hariharan who will render his voice to the title song composed by A R Rahman.

Rajini’s added appreciation for Unnaippol Oruvan

An exclusive screening of Unnaipol Oruvan was held for superstar Rajinikanth recently. Impressed by the movie, Rajini embraced Kamal after the screening expressing his delight and appreciation. He was quoted as saying that Kamal’s work is an honor for the original movie, A Wednesday.
Rajini also raved about the movie saying that only Kamal is capable of presenting such a brilliant work. Not the one to refrain from appreciating the work of colleagues, Rajini stated that Mohanlal’s work is mind-blowing in the movie.

இளம் ஹீரோக்கள் நடிக்கும் படங்களை உடனுக்குடன் பார்த்து விடுவது ரஜினியின் வழக்கம். தெலுங்கில் மாபெரும் வெற்றிபெற்ற படம் ‘மகாதீரா’. சிரஞ்சீவியின் மகன் ராம்சரண் தேஜா ஹீரோவாக நடித்துள்ள இப்படத்தின் பிரத்யேக காட்சி சென்னையில் திரையிடப்பட்டது. இது சிரஞ்சீவியின் ஏற்பாட்டில் நடந்ததால் ரஜினி, இயக்குனர் ஷங்கர் படத்தைப் பார்த்து ரசித்தனர். ராம்சரண் தேஜாவின் நடிப்பைக் கண்டு வியந்த ரஜினி, சிரஞ்சீவியிடம் ராம்சரண் பற்றி புகழ்ந்தார்.

1) திருமாவின் நூல்கள் - கேட்டு வாங்கி படிக்கும் ரஜினி
தமிழகத்தின் முக்கிய பிரச்னைகளை குறித்து முழுமையாக தெரிந்துகொள்ள முனைந்திருக்கும் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் அவற்றை பற்றிய நூல்களை தற்போது ஆர்வமுடன் படித்துவருகிறார்.
சென்ற ஆண்டு இறுதியில் நடைபெற்ற ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக நடைபெற்ற நடிகர் சங்க உண்ணாவிரதத்தின்போது திருமாவளவன் பேசிய பேச்சு அவரை மிகவும் கவர்ந்துவிட்டதாம். இதையடுத்து அதே விழாவிலேயே சிறுத்தை தலைவரின் நூல்களையும் அவரது உரைகள் அடங்கிய டி.வி.டி.க்களையும் கேட்டாராம். ஆனால் சிறுத்தைத் தலைவர் இடையில் அதை மறந்துவிட்டார். சமீபத்தில் அவரை ஒரு விழாவில் தலைவர் எதேச்சையாக சந்தித்த போது அதை நினைவூட்டினாராம். எனவே, சிறுத்தை தலைவர் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் கேட்ட நூல்களையும் ஒலி ஒளி நாடாக்களையும் தற்போது கொடுத்தனுப்பியிருக்கிறாராம்.

இயக்குனர் மணிவண்ணனின் மகள் திருமணத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டு பேசிய சூப்பர் ஸ்டார், “மணிவண்ணன் மூலமாக பெரியார், அண்ணாவைப் பற்றி நிறைய தெரிந்து கொண்டேன். பெரியார் புத்தகங்களையும் எனக்கு படிக்க கொடுத்தார்,” என்று கூறியிருந்தது நினைவுகூறத்தக்கது.
2) எந்திரன் வழக்கமான காதல் கதையோ அல்லது ஊழலுக்கெதிரான கதையோ அல்ல - ஷங்கர்
தனது ஒவ்வொரு படத்தை துவங்கும் முன்பு நிறையே ஹோம் வொர்க் செய்யும் ஷங்கர், எந்திரனுக்காக மெனக்கெட்டது நிறைய. சொல்லப் போனால் ஆராய்ச்சி செய்வதிலேயே ஷங்கர் நிறைய நேரங்களை செலவிட்டார். “நாம் சொல்லும் விஷயங்களின் நம்பகத்தன்மை மிகவும் முக்கியம்” என்பது ஷங்கரின் கோட்பாடு.
“எந்திரன் கிட்டத்தட்ட 85% முடிந்துவிட்டது. படத்திற்கான போஸ்ட் ப்ரொடக்க்ஷன் பணிகள் உடனுக்குடன் நடந்துவருகிறது. ஆனால் CG பணிகள் தான் நிறைய உள்ளன. ரோபோக்களை மையமாக கொண்ட கதை என்பதால் ரோபோவை பற்றி நான் சொல்லும் விஷயங்கள் உண்மையானதாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று ஆசைப்படுகிறேன். இணையத்தில் அவை பற்றிய நிறைய விஷயங்களை சேகரித்தேன். CG பணிகளை செய்ய தகுந்த நிறுவனத்தை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் முன், இணையத்தில் அவர்கள் இதற்க்கு முன்பு CG பணிகளை பார்த்தேன். எல்லாவற்றிலும் திருப்தி ஏற்பட்ட பின்பு தான் பணிகளை துவக்கினேன்” என்று கூறும் ஷங்கர் சிவாஜியை விட எந்திரன் பலமடங்கு மென்மையாக இருக்கும் என்று நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறுகிறார்.
சரி எந்திரன் கதை தான் என்ன? என்று கேட்டால், “எந்திரன் வழக்கமான காதல் கதை அல்ல லஞ்ச ஊழலுக்கெதிரான போரும் அல்ல. இது வரை நான் முயற்சித்திராத மாறுபட்ட அறிவியல் கதை இது. இதில் முற்றிலும் வித்தியாசமான ரஜினியை நீங்கள் பார்க்கலாம். ரஜினி நன்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.” என்று முடித்தார் ஷங்கர்.
3) வணக்கம் சொன்ன ரசிகர் - பதில் வணக்கம் சொன்ன ரஜினி
சாலிகிராமத்தில் உள்ள பிரசாத் ஸ்டூடியோவில் தற்போது எந்திரன் படபிடிப்பு நடைபெற்றுவருகிறது.

ஸ்டூடியோ வளாகத்துக்குள்ளேயே குடிசைகள் மற்றும் அடுக்குமாடி செட்ட்கள் போட்டு போட்டு படப்பிடிப்பு நடந்துவருகிறது.
படப்பிடிப்பு வளாகத்தில் ஜிம் பாய்ஸ்கள் பாதுகாப்பு பணிகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறார்கள். அந்நியர் உள்ளே பிரவேசிப்பதை தவிர்க்க படப்பிடிப்பு நடக்கும் நேரம் ஸ்டூடியோவின் கதவு மூடிவைக்கப்படுகிறது.
சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட காட்சிகள் முதலில் எடுக்கப்பட்டு, அது முடிந்தவுடன் அவர் கிளம்பிவிடுகிறார். பின்னர் மற்ற காட்சிகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஷங்கர், உதவி இயக்குனர்கள், பீட்டர் ஹெயன்ஸ் என எல்ல்ளார் கையிலும் மைக்குகள்.
சாப்பிடவும் மேக்கப்பை போடவும் மட்டுமே கேரவனுக்குள் செல்கிறார் தலைவர்.
படப்பிடிப்பில் அன்றைய நாளுக்கு அவரது படப்பிடிப்பு முடிந்தவுடன் மேக்கப்பை கலைத்து முகம் கழுவி, பச்சை கலர் லுங்கி, வெள்ளை சட்டையுடன் வீட்டிற்கு கிளம்பிவிடுகிறார்.
ஒரு நாள் படப்பிடிப்பு முடிந்து திரும்புகையில், காரில் இருந்த சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரை பார்த்துவிட்ட ரசிகர் ஒருவர் இரு கைகளையும் தூக்கி தலைக்கு மேல் கூப்பி “தலைவா… வணக்கம்!!” என்று உற்சாக கூக்குரலிட, பதிலுக்கு அவரும் தலைக்கு மேல் கூப்பி வணக்கம் தெரிவித்தார். ரசிகர் அடைந்த சந்தோஷத்திற்கு அளவேயில்லை.
4) குமுதம் இல்ல நிகழ்ச்சி - உட்கார மறுத்த ரஜினி
குமுதம் ஆசிரியரின் தாயார் எஸ்.ஏ.பி. கோதை ஆச்சி அவர்களின் மணிவிழா சமீபத்தில் அடையாறு போட் க்ளப் சாலையில் உள்ள அவரது இல்லத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. (புகைப்படத்துடன் செய்தியை கடந்த சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு வெளியிட்டிருந்தோம்).

பின்னர் இரு குடும்பத்தாரும் கோதை ஆச்சி அவர்களுடன் உடகார்ந்து க்ரூப் போட்டோ எடுக்க அமர்ந்தனர். சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரை அழைத்தபோது, அவர் உட்கார மறுத்துவிட்டார். பெரியவர்களுடன் சரி சமமாக அமர்வதா என்று சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் பிடிவதாமாக மறுத்துவிட்டார். “அட பரவாயில்லை சார் வாங்க” என்று அவர வலுக்கட்டாயமாக அழைத்து உட்காரவைத்தனர். ஒரு சில நொடிகளே அமர்ந்து, போட்டோ எடுத்தவுடன் சட்டென்று எழுந்துவிட்டார்.

கடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களாகவே ரசிகர்கள் ஒரு வித பரபரப்பான எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பில் இருந்தனர். நேற்றைக்கு மட்டும் நமக்கு இன்றைய தினகரனை எந்திரன் ஸ்பெஷல் பற்றி அரை டஜன் எஸ்.எம்.எஸ்.கள் வந்தன.
நாம் நமது பேப்பர் கடைக்கு ரெகுலர் கஸ்டமர் என்பதால் நமக்கு எடுத்து வைத்திருப்பார்கள் என்றாலும், எதற்கு ரிஸ்க் என்று ஏழு மணிக்கே கையில் கத்திரிக்கோலுடன் (?!) கடைக்கு சென்றுவிட்டேன்.
நாம் சென்ற போது காலை ஏழு மணியிருக்கும். நமது பேப்பர்களை வாங்கிவிட்டு அங்கேயே தினகரனை புரட்ட ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டேன். அப்பொழுதே கடைக்காரர் நிறைய பேருக்கு தினகரன் இல்லையென்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். “சார் கொஞ்சம் அந்த பக்கம் போயி படிங்க. இங்கே நிறையே பேர் பேப்பர் இல்லாம ரிட்டர்ன் போய்ட்டுருகாங்க. அவங்க டென்ஷன் ஆகிடுவாங்க” என்றார். அவர் சொல்வது நியாயம் தான் என்று புரிந்தது. காரணம் அந்த நிமிடமே நம்மை ஒருத்தர் முறைத்து பார்த்தார்.

பின்னர் கடைகாரரிடம் விசாரித்தேன். “வழக்கமாக ஞாயிறு இதே நேரம் சுமார் 20 முதல் 25 பேப்பர் வரை வித்திருக்கும். ஆனால் இன்னிக்கு எந்திரன் ஸ்பெஷலை முன்னிட்டு, எல்லா பேப்பரும் 6.45 க்குள் (சுமார் 80) வித்திடுச்சு. உங்களை மாதிரி ரெகுலர் கஸ்டமர்கள் நாலஞ்சு பேருக்கு எடுத்து வெச்சிருக்கேன். ரொம்ப நாளைக்கு பிறகு இன்னிக்கி நல்லா வித்திருக்கு” என்றார்.
புறநகர் பகுதிகளில் பல இடங்களில் டிமேன்ட்டை விட சப்ளை கம்மியாக இருந்ததாக கடைக்காரர்கள் குமுறுகிறார்கள். இந்தளவு விளம்பரம் செய்து அதற்க்கேற்றார்போல சப்ளை செய்யவேண்டாமா? -கேட்டால், “நகர்ப்ப் புற பகுதிகளில் பல கடைகளில் இன்று கூடுதல் பேப்பர்கள் சப்ளை செய்யப்பட்டதால் இந்த தட்டுப்பாடு ஏற்பட்டதாக” எஜன்ட்டுகள் கூறுவதாக தெரிகிறது. கடைக்காரர்களோ, “ஏமாற்றத்துடன் திரும்பும் கஸ்டமர்களுக்கு எங்களால் பதில் கூறமுடியவில்லை. சில கடைக்காரர்கள் வழக்கத்தைவிட இரு மடங்கு பேப்பர்களை எப்படியோ வாங்கிவிட்டனர். ஆனால் நாங்க என்ன செய்றது…?” என்று சோகத்துடன் கூறினர்.
Meanwhile, நம்மை தொடர்பு கொண்ட நண்பர் பாஸ்கி, தனக்கு நான்கைந்து கடைகளில் அலைந்தும் பேப்பர் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றும் தளத்தில் வெளியிட்டு உதவுமாறும் கேட்டிருந்தார்.
பாஸ்கி மட்டுமல்ல மேலும் பல நண்பர்கள் போன் செய்து, பேப்பர் கிடைக்கலை, உங்களுக்கு கிடைச்சிடுச்சா என்று நம்மிடம் கேட்டனர். வெளி மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்து வந்த அழைப்புக்களையடுத்து தமிழகம் முழுக்க பரவலாக இதே நிலை ஏற்பட்டது புரிகிறது.
இது போன்ற பேப்பர் கிடைக்காத ரசிகர்களின் வசதிக்காக அதை ஸ்கேன் செய்து வெளியிடுகிறேன்.

Only God and our Superstar know one thing for now… That’s about his next project after Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’. Everyone is building speculations and is trying to knot each and every single string they get to spin a story.
Meanwhile birdies had it that director P. Vasu had narrated the outline of his Kannada project ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ to our superstar. ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ is the sequel of ‘Aptha Mithra’ (Chandramukhi in Tamil). After hearing the outline itself it’s heard that Rajini appreciated the director for the fine script. But just don’t jump into a conclusion that our Superstar will be signing up for ‘Chandramukhi’ part 2!
Sources say that Rajini had called the director after a week’s time and confessed that his call sheet is full for the next 2 years… Alas what a sad news! Birdies from the side of the director say that P. Vasu will be approaching Mammootty for the sequel.

Soundarya as a specialist in ‘Endhiran’

Preparing for the final leg of the shoot director Shankar said that two songs are left to be canned abroad. “The first science-fiction film in Tamil will deal with the good and bad effects of robots in the backdrop of Indian culture”, said the director. Our superstar also confirmed it saying that more than 80%of the film’s shoot is over, during the ‘Eeram’ audio launch.
Sources close to the production house says that Sun TV is planning to release the film by April 2010. The reason behind the delay is the usage of EFX, CG and 3D animation techniques unlike another Tamil movie. They have used nearly two lakhs and fifty thousand frames for these special effects!
As all these works can’t be finished in Chennai alone, few important scenes have been handed over to a company in Canada. It’s heard that this particular firm has handled several Hollywood movies.
The focal information is that our hero Superstar’s daughter Soundarya is an important member in the team of Endhiran’s Digital experts’ team. The girl is always very much involved in boosting up her dad’s image… Great!

Preparations were made by Nadigar Sangam for a veneration party on September 5th for Central Ministers Nepoleon and Jegathratchagan. But unfortunately due to the sudden demise of Andhra’s Chief Minister the function was shelved.
Now as it’s planned to reschedule the function with Kamal Haasan as the chief guest, they are waiting for his favourable date. But birdies say that the reason why Kamal was invited is because our Superstar refused to grace the functi1on. As Rajini attended the recent anniversary function of the Nadigar Sangam he stayed away from this function says the sources.

காங்கிரசில் இணைய ரஜினிக்கு ராகுல் அழைப்பு

On his 3-day visit in Tamil Nadu, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi took efforts to interact with the locals of several parts of the State. As a part of his campaign, Rahul encouraged the young people to join Congress. However, he has stated that our ever-young Superstar is also welcome into the party. He said, “He is most welcome to come. We don't put any roadblocks. Our system is open to anybody who wants to enter it. The only barrier we put is the barrier of criminality.” On this note he said that he doesn’t think Rajini is a criminal. “However, we are not reaching out to any particular person,” said Rahul.
The young Gandhi affirmed that when the Congress had started this open system process, Vijay had expressed his interest in understanding their process and they did explain about it to him.

Rajini against Rajinis

“Endhiran” has been making headlines ever since it’s shooting commenced. Some of the big names of Indian cine industry including gorgeous Aishwarya Rai are coming together for this one.
Recently the shooting for a fight scene of the film was taking place in Chennai in the set that was erected by one of India’s popular art directors Sabu Cyril. According to the sources, the stunt was between superstar Rajinikanth and 100 other robots that look like him. Fight master Peter Heinz composed this stunt sequence along with few foreign fight masters.
Now another interesting tittle-tattle is that many Hollywood companies are roped in for the visual effects (VFX) of the film. Hollywood companies like ILM, Tippet, Cafe EFX; and Hong Kong companies like Centro and Menfond are involved in this mega-budget project.

Superstar and stars of 80’s

Memories are something which we can really own and treasure. And each one’s memory is their private copy of their unwritten diaries. Our south stars who filled the screens during 80’s came together recently to revive their beautiful memories. Stars who now live in North like Sridevi were also invited for this sweet event. But then celebrities from nearest states like Andhra were the ones who made it to this get-together party.
Nadhiya, Radhika, Shobana, Poornima Bhagiyaraj, Ambika, Lissy Priyadarshan, Radha, Sumalatha were the important yesteryear heroines who turned up. Then ex-heroes like Prabhu, Karthick, Prathab Pothan, Suman, Suresh and Banuchandar were also present for the bash. Apart from the above stars, Kannada Superstar Vishnuvardhan graced the function along with his wife.
Did we fail to add a big-shot in the above list? Though he turned a bit late, our Superstar Rajinikanth was also there to boost up this merriment into a big hit. Our yesteryear stars were so happy and were beaming with joy to find their buddies all under one roof. They all appeared to be like alumni who meet each other at a college function. As a pictogram of their remembrance these stars took group photos with Superstar Rajinikanth.

A get-together with Rajinikanth

Actresses Suhasini and Lizzy Priydarshan hosted a party for all the actors and actresses that were ruling the roost in the 1980s. Notable among those who participated in it were Rajinikanth, Karthik, Prabhu, Suman, Banu Chander, Suresh, Radha, Radhika, Nathiya, Revathy, Sumalatha, Ramya Krishnan and others.
The stars were seen having a gala time during this reunion which lasted for about three hours. To commemorate the event, Rajinikanth was asked to slice a cake.

Rajini talks about companionship

Director-actor Manivannan’s daughter’s wedding took place in Chennai on September 7th amidst film personalities. Notable among them were Rajinikanth, his wife Latha Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Cheran, Sundar C, Sathyaraj, Sibiraj, Kushboo and others.
Speaking at the wedding ceremony, which was in accordance with the Suyamariyadhai Marriage followed by the Dravidar Kazhagam followers and atheists, Rajini blessed the couple for a long and happy married life. He said only a wife would follow a husband through the bad times and there relationship should be more of companionship.
The Superstar said that not many know that Manivannan is an ardent follower of Periyar ideals and he was amazed with his knowledge about Periyar during the Padayappa shooting. Earlier, Sathyaraj handed over the mangalasutra to Rajini who gave it to the bridegroom. Cheran welcomed the guests and director Seeman thanked one and all for gracing the occasion.

Robot Rajini in Chennai now

The Sirucheri SIPCOT industrial estate is the area in which our robot Rajini is right now! The team of Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ is working busily in the location to complete an important scene of the film out there.
We hear that Shankar has brought in an extremely strange Volvo bus in to the sets. Birdies say that the director has transformed a normal Volvo bus into a satellite remote sensing lab. This makeover process of the bus has cost a whooping 50 lakhs!
A scene in which a morph gang attacks the robot Rajini, who is inside this satellite remote sensing lab, is being filmed. The blow of the news is that our superstar is not in the shooting spot at all. It’s a stunt artist who is masked as the robot Rajini.
Using a dupe is not a big deal as our Superstar is a real-time hero. What say people?

Rajnikanth’s sensational speech

Actor Manivannan’s daughter Jyothi got married to Satish Raghunathan at Aishwarya Kalyana Mandapam which is situated in 100 ft road. Actor Sathyaraj took the mangala sutra and handed over it to Rajnikanth.
Rajnikanth in turn gave it to the bridegroom who tied the knot. Both the bride and bridegroom fell prostrate and sought the blessings of Rajnikanth. Rajni while speaking on this occasion said,” Manivannan made his debut in my film only.
After this he had acted in many films. During the shooting he used to speak a lot. I never knew that he was protégé of Periyar. I also did not know that he was atheist. During the shooting of Padaiyappa he used to speak about lot of things.
H e also spoke about some important happenings in the history. He explained about the letters written by Periyar to Anna and Anna to Periyar and how differences of opinions cropped up. H e also explained why Periyar was against the freedom we got in 1947. I learnt a lot of things Periyar and Annadurai through Manivannan.
He gave me a lot of books of Periyar to read, Manivannan has not earned enough money but he has earned a lot of friends. Satish should be thankful for getting a wife like Jyothi. Jyothi is beautiful like her mother and not like her father. No women have come up to speak on this dais. People spoke about equal rights here. Men have come into an agreement with women.
The agreement is that men should speak in the dais whereas the women will speak in the house. Instead of calling husband and wife we should say companions. If we are well off thousands of people will come to us, but when we are in distress all of them will be missing. Only the wife will be at our side to console us. They should understand this and live happily. “Actors Kamal Haasan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Vaagai Chandrasekaran, Thyagu, Actress Kushboo, Directors Seeman, Cheran, Singam Puli, Manoj Kumar and many others graced the occasion and blessed the couple.
