Rajini shoots in Mohanlal's studio!

It was earlier reported that the cast and crew of Superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus, 'Kochadaiyaan', were shooting at the renowned Chitranjali studio. The latest is that they are now canning at Mollywood's top notch star Mohanlal's studio Vismaya Max Studio!

The post production work is taking place in a full swing in this studio that has all the amenities required to edit an animation flick.

The place is a media free zone with high level security, as it is for most of the Thalaivar movies. Scenes and songs featuring Rajini and Deepika Padukone were reportedly shot in a Kerala studio.

Sources further have it that Rajinikanth looks wow in and as 'Kochadaiyaan'. The performance motion capture film has an ensemble of stars in the lead including Rajini, Deepika Padukone, Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Jackie Shroff, Shobana, Rukimini and several others. Music is by AR Rahman.

The shoot will be wrapped in a couple of days following which the post-production work will begin for this biggie! 'Kochadaiyaan' will release come September.

Rajinikanth- Pinewood to Chitranjali

Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan is making brisk progress. After a 10 day first schedule at Pinewood Studios in London, the second schedule is happening in Chitranjali studio in Thiruvananthapuram.

Chitranjali Studio Complex, located atop a beautiful hillock at Thiruvallam on the Thiruvananthapuram- Kovalam road, is a state of the art modern studio run by Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC).

Director Soundarya Rajinikanth is shooting the film in motion capture in 3D, and the facilities and privacy that Chitranjali offers is what made her shoot there.

Chitranjali recording theatre staff has won many national and state awards including this year’s state award for audiography to Harikumar. Some of the biggest names in world cinema like Adoor Gopalakrishnan , Shaji N Karun have made and processed their film at Chitranjali.

The state minister and actor KB Ganesh Kumar, a big fan of Rajinikanth has made all arrangements for the Kochadaiyaan shoot. No media is being allowed inside and  high level security has been provided to Rajinikanth and his entourage who are staying at Taj Vivanta in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rajini and Kamal back together again?

Every film lover is dying to see Kamal and Rajini again together, sharing the screen space. In fact there were rumours that Kamal would soon be resuming Marmayogi and that Superstar Rajinikanth would be a part of the film.
However, now there is a chance for us to see the two stalwarts sharing the screen space. In this era, where the masterpieces of Sivaji Ganesan and MGR are being re-released, one of director K Balachander’s masterpieces Ninaithale Inikkum, starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is expected to re-release soon.

Superstar Rajinikanth today released a statement against a false news on his connection with the business of his daughter Aishwarya's debut movie 3.

Kochadaiyaan advanced?

Jackie Shroff who was shooting for the most awaited Kochadaiyaan, is said to have completed his portion in the film. He is doing a character with a grey shade in the film. On working with the film’s director Soundarya R Ashwin, he has said that she will set a new trend in Indian cinema. He also revealed, “The film is a perfect blend of emotional and technical mélange.”
The crew is now in Kerala shooting their second schedule. Media One Global Entertainment recently announced that the release date of the film has been advanced to September from Deepavali.

RGV inspired by Rajini

Ace director, Ram Gopal Varma has gone on record to say that an item song in his film Department, is inspired from Rajinikanth's Aasai Nooruvagai number from the film Adutha Varisu. The Hindi song Dan Dan Cheeni features Rana Dagubatti and Sanjay Dutt dancing with item girl, Nathalia Kaur - an Indo - Brazilian beauty.
At RGV's insistence, composers Dharam - Sandeep added a 30 second line from the original to their own composition. Ganesh Acharya is doing the choreography. RGV said that the Aasai Nooruvagai song is one of his favorites and Dan Dan Cheeni is his way of paying tribute to it.

'Kochadaiyaan' release advanced!

Fans of Superstar Rajinikanth will celebrate Deepavali much ahead of the official date. For, their Thalaivar's forthcoming flick 'Kochadaiyaan', which was initially scheduled for Deepavali, has been advanced to September!

In a statement, Mediaone Global Entertainment, which is producing the film, said the first phase of shooting of 'Kochadaiyaan' has been completed and the movie is slated for release in September this year.

"The first schedule of shooting at London has been completed and shooting in India has commenced," Mediaone stated. Rajiv Menon handles the camera, the film is likely to be released in Telugu, English, Hindi and Japanese.

Being helmed by Soundarya R Ashwin, the younger daughter of Rajini, the film has story, screenplay and dialogues by KS Ravikumar. Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Aadhi are part of the cast.

Rajini to leave for Kerala

After a week's rest, Superstar Rajinikanth and other members of 'Kochadaiyaan' team are gearing up to leave for Kerala, where some important scenes of the movie will be shot.

"The London schedule has come to an end on a satisfactory note. The schedule in Kerala will see canning of song and fight sequences. It will go on for nearly two weeks," sources in the know say.

Aadhi, who is playing a crucial role in 'Kochadaiyaan', missed to join the crew in London due to some visa difficulties. "I will leave for Kerala to act in Kochadaiyaan. I am eagerly looking forward to act with Rajini sir," he says.

Directed by Soundarya Ashwin, the film is being shot using performance capturing technology. Music is by AR Rahman, while lyrics are by Vairamuthu. Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Nasser, Shobana and Rukmini will be seen in this magnum opus flick.

Rajinikanth visits Amitabh Bachchan

It’s not everyday that two big mega stars meet and when that happens its bound to be a momentous occasion.
And when that meeting is born out of mutual respect and decades of friendship behind them, then it makes for a warm moment.

Now that’s exactly what happened this afternoon in Chennai. Big B who is visiting Chennai for the opening night of the I P L got a pleasant surprise when Superstar Rajinikant paid him a visit in his hotel room. Its common knowledge that the
Big B is just recovering from a stomach surgery and is taking it easy. Rajini too has recovered from an illness and surgery and is back on his feet, shooting for his next film.
In such circumstances, it was indeed a gracious gesture on Rajini’s part to pay his old friend and colleague a visit when he was in town.
Amitabh has tweeted ‘ Rajini pays me a visit in my room ! Looks recovered from his recent illness . . Thank God ! Always a delight to spend time with him ! ‘

Daughters create problems for Rajini

If sources are to be believed, Rajinikanth is totally is upset with his daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya envying each other over their respective films 3 and Kochadaiyaan. Sources say that the Superstar is upset over this rift and has retuned back to Chennai cancelling the Kochadaiyaan shooting in London.
However, sources close to the Superstar’s family say that Soundarya has completed the portions that Rajinikanth is required and hence he has returned. The second schedule will begin soon in India, we hear.
