The
man who is known for his controversial statements, Ram Gopal Verma, is
at it again! IndiaGlitz caught up with the director for an interview as
he's busy with the promos of his forthcoming 'Department'.
When quizzed of why he's directed Amitabh Bachchan in five films and Mohan Lal in 'Company' and not yet approached Superstar Rajinikanth, pat came his response:
"The reason I haven't directed the iconic superstar, Rajinikanth, is because you need a complete different sensitivity if you have to make a film with Rajinikanth and I do not see myself making a film with him. I'd not hesitate to state that you cannot call Rajinikanth an actor but a special effect".
On Big B he says, "I grew up watching Amit Ji's (Amitabh Bachchan) films, Big B is cinema. I'm glad he's been a part of five of my films. In Department his character has shades of grey; he plays Sarje Rao, a gangster who becomes a dreaded politician".
The director will be helming a project shortly on the 26 / 11 Mumbai attacks and Kasab's actions that affected the normalcy of the country.
We'll have to wait to know the response from millions of Superstar Rajinikanth fans to this 'compliment'?
