A R Rahman on the Sets of Kochadaiyaan

Academy award winner A R Rahman is taking scrutinizing efforts over Superstar Rajnikanth’s Kochadaiyaan. Before Rajnikanth took off to London for 25-day schedule, he managed to get a song done with Superstar himself crooning the track.

Despites his busy schedules, the Madras Mozart flew all the way down to London and visited the sets of Kochadaiyaan.

Guess who was so happy watching Superstar and Rahman together? She’s none other than Radhika Sarath Kumar as she said, “It was nice to see these great personalities feeling like child in heart looking for more quest.”

Sarathkumar joins Rajini in London

Looks like its a busy time of the year for both the daughters of the Superstar.
While Aishwarya is keeping her fingers crossed for the release of her debut film 3 next Friday, her sister Soundarya is busy in London shooting her debut film Kochadaiyaan with her father.

Now the latest update is that co star Sarath Kumar is flying to London today to join the unit.
He will be accompanied by wife Radhika and son Rahul for company.
In the meanwhile Aishwarya is busy working with Resul Pookutty on the sound of her film.

Rajinikanth off to london with kochadaiyaan

Superstar Rajinikanth departed to London on Saturday early morning for Kochadaiyaan crew. A 20 member crew including Soundarya, K S Ravikumar and technicians also traveled with him.

Kochadaiyaan first schedule begins

If sources are to be believed, Superstar along with the entire Kochadaiyaan unit will be flying to London tonight.

The first schedule of Kochadaiyaan is set to being there, it will be a 3 weels continous shoot adds sources.
Kochadaiyaan is directed by Soundarya R Ashwin with music by AR Rahman. The film will be released in stereoscopic 3D.

Kochadaiyaan off to London for 25 days

The team of Kochadaiyaan is all set to take off to London tomorrow on what will be a 25 day long shooting schedule. It will also mark the entry of Rajinikanth onto the sets of Kochadaiyaan. The visas for the entire crew, consisting of 45 members, including Superstar, Soundarya Rajinikanth, K.S. Ravikumar, Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Nasser and Rukmini (Bommalattam and Ananda Thandavam fame) along with dance masters Chinni Prakash and Rekha have been granted and the team is ready to board the flight tomorrow. It was earlier reported that Rajini and K.S. Ravikumar had visited the Ganesha deity within AVM Studios on Thursday to offer their prayers.

Shooting for Kochadaiyaan has been on for a while now, but has not featured any scenes involving Superstar. Word is that around 50% of the talkie portions have been canned with the main portions, i.e. the ones which will have Superstar, set to begin in London. The team plans to shoot two songs in London during their 25 day long schedule. We wish the team of Kochadaiyaan all the best.

Suriya beats Rajini

KV Anand and Suriya have stolen a march on Soundarya Ashwin and Rajini. Maatran will feature the much vaunted Performance Capture Technology introduced by Steven Spielberg with Tintin in some of its super slick action scenes. Three time national award winner for special effects, Srinivas Mohan has done the visual effects using PCT.
Shooting for Maatran is almost complete whereas Kochadaiyaan is scheduled to go on the floors later this month. So Maatran will make it to the theatres first and will be the first Tamil film to feature PCT.

Rajini's hush hush visit to AVM studios

After months of pre-production and groundwork Kochadaiyaan went on floors recently. Although filming was being carried out, Rajini was not part of the crew so far. The superstar will take part in shoots in AVM studios, Chennai today. Accompanying him is the film's writer KSR. Rajini sought the blessings of Ganesha located inside the AVM Studios before attending the shoots. This was a hush hush affair and was rather kept under the wraps.

Kochadaiyaan is written by KSR and directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. Touted to be shot entirely in 3D motion capturing technique, Kochadaiyaan is also a short term project, likely to be released in the month of August.

Rajini film goes to Japan

Everybody knows that Rajinikanth is Asia's biggest star and he has fans across the world so it has been decided that Kochadaiyaan should be a truly international film. It is going to be made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English and Japanese.
Ever since Muthu directed by Ravikumar and starring Rajini and Meena was dubbed and released in Japanese as Dancing Maharaja, Rajinikanth has enjoyed a firm fan bastion in Japan. And hence the decision to make a Japanese version was made by Soundarya Ashwin.

Rajini sings a song for Kochadaiyaan !

This is going to be a great news for Superstar fans. Yes sources confirm that the star has croon his voice for a special song in Kochadaiyaan.

Soundarya Ashwin who thought that his father’s voice would impact more the crucial scene of the movie went with this idea.
So, they started recording this song under AR Rahman’s composition, to their surprise it turned out to be truly emotional adds a source.
Also it is not a usual duet or commercial song, most probably a verse type song on the lines of yesteryear Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Thendralodu Udan Pirnadal’ from the movie Raja Raja Cholan.

Kochadaiyaan team is ready to start the film with a special puja this friday

Finally the Kochadaiyaan team is ready to start the film with a special puja this friday. Usually Superstar’s film first look stills would be released on the day of official launch.

But, Soundarya Ashwin surprised the fans by releasing the first look stills of Kochadaiyaan through online and media.
Even though it was released just like that, the official launch will see a glittering day at AVM Studio along with new stills adds a source.
Kochadaiyaan has Superstar Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone in the lead roles along with Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Sneha, Naseer, Rukmini Vijayakumar and many more in important roles.
Music is being composed by AR Rahman while KS Ravikumar supervises the project.

Special day for Rajini fans

Today is International Women's day. The colorful festival of Holi is also being celebrated today. Diehard Rajinikanth fans will remember it as the day Shivaji Rao Gaekwad was rechristened as Rajinikanth by K Balachander when he cast him in the film, Apoorva Ragangal and promptly created a superstar whose star continues to shine brightest in the horizon.
Rajinikanth is currently scheduled to work in daughter, Soundarya's film, Kochadaiyaan with Deepika Padukone as the heroine. KS Ravikumar has scripted the film and will also help in the direction department. Fans cannot wait to see their idol on the big screen again.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s next with KV Anand ?

KV Anand who was trying to direct the Superstar right from his intial stages has finally compromised him with a strong script adds sources.

Rajini's PR denies reports on Rajini's dissatisfaction in doing the animated Kochadayaan. In an interview he told that, those were just baseless reports since the film is set to roll only from March 15, and Rajini sir is hale and hearty and raring to go.

Benchmarks created by Rajini films could be surpassed by Rajini movies alone. The Superstar, who rocked the entire India with his last release 'Enthiran', is planning to make a global impact with his next, 'Kochadaiyaan'.

If sources are to be believed, apart from the already planned Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages, the movie directed by Soundarya Ashwin will be released in English too! "A Hollywood company has evinced interest in marketing the film all over the world," sources say.

Rajini is expected to start shooting for the multi-crore venture in London soon. "The Superstar and select members of Kochadaiyaan cast and crew will soon leave for the United Kingdom," according to sources, which are very close to the unit.
