On receiving the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year award in entertainment category in the Capital this past week, Shankar says it has encouraged him to continue working on innovative bold scripts. “Earlier, I used to feel whether it is worth putting so much effort. But finally I have realised that hard work pays.” He also mentioned that Rajini sir's co-operation, his hard work and his huge fans following helped for the success of Endhiran movie.
