இன்று தலைவருக்கு திருமண நாள். பிப்ரவரி 26, 1981 ஆம் ஆண்டு திருமலை திருப்பதி தேவஸ்தானத்தில் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினிகாந்துக்கும், லதாவுக்கு பிரம்ம முஹூர்த்ததில் திருமணம் நடைபெற்றது.

துடனான பிரச்சினை தீர்ந்தது என்று பெப்ஸி தலைவர் விசி குகநாதன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

திரையுலகம் சார்பில் முதல்வர் கருணாநிதிக்கு நடைபெற்ற பாராட்டு விழாவில், பல்வேறு விழாக்களில் பங்கேற்க வேண்டுமென நடிகர் நடிகையர் மிரட்டப்படுகிறார்கள் என நடிகர் அஜீத் வெளிப்படையாகத் தெரிவித்தார்.

ஆதரவு தெரிவித்திருந்தார். இதையடுத்து அவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாகவும், எதிராகவும் விமர்சனங்கள் வெளியாகி வருகின்றன.

கலை உலகில் உள்ளவர்களுக்குள் உரசல் வரலாம். ஆனால் மற்றவர்கள் அதை ஊதி பெரிதாக்கு வதை ஏற்க மாட்டோம்.

Permission denied for Endhiran

The shooting of Endhiran is almost over barring a few scenes. These scenes need to be shot in Delhi and the Endhiran crew has been running from pillar to post to obtain the necessary permission. In a recent function, Rajini had also mentioned that he was able to attend it only because the shooting in Delhi has been cancelled owing to denial of permission.
It is very difficult to obtain the permission to shoot in Delhi because of the security threat that the country is facing.

Congress support Ajith and Rajnikanth

In a turning point Congress has backed Ajith and Rajnikanth in the recent controversial issue where Ajith said that they are being forced to attend rallies and protest meeting organized by some film organizations at the recently held Chief Minister’s felicitation function .

Congress leader E V K S Elangovan recently while speaking to the media said that they have every right and freedom to express their views.
He said,” Threatening is not warranted on the basis they are against Tamilians and this is also against Tamil culture. I request the Tamil Nadu State Government to take stern action against the concerned federation and personalities who are trying to curb Ajith’s freedom of speech.”

ENDHIRAN COULD BE A TRAGEDY

Sujatha’s novel En Iniya Iyanthira had a climax in which the Robot will be dismantled. Wondering what the climax of Endhiran, which is based on this book, would be? Well, some of our sources say that director Shankar has planned two climaxes.One of the climaxes will have Aishwarya Rai, the film’s heroine, killed by the Robot. Another climax will have Rajini dismantle the Robot keeping in tune with the book that Sujatha had penned. However, none of the sources have confirmed about this double climax and it’s also possible that the director may have other plans.

நியாயத்திற்கு துணை நின்றதற்கு இத்துனை சோதனையா? அறிக்கை விபரத்தை தளத்தில் வெளியிட விருப்பமின்றி விட்டுவிட்டேன். இத்துணைக்கும் அறிக்கை வெளியான அடுத்த சில நிமிடங்களில் நமக்கு அதன் நகல் கிடைத்துவிட்டது. என்னத்தை சொல்ல…

Soundarya Rajinikanth is engaged to Ashwin Kumar and the function was attended by near and dear ones of Super Star Rajinkanth’s family. Some of the guests who had been invited for the ceremony were Chief Minister M Karunanidhi accompanied by his wives, his daughter Kanimozhi and daughter-in-law Durga Stalin with grandson Udayanidhi Stalin.
Others who were present for the engagement ceremony were renowned director K Balachandar, producer Panchu Arunachalam and Kalaipuli S Thanu, director S P Muthuraman and director Shankar among others.

RAJINI’S SOUVENIR TO KAMAL

Some time back, when Kamal’s half century in the filmdom was being commemorated, Super Star Rajinikanth had mentioned that Kalai Thai (Goddess of Arts) is partial to Kamal alone because she carries him in her arms while she leaves the rest like him, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Venkatesh and Sarathkumar to follow her, holding her hands. His adulation of his friend and contemporary artist did not stop with mere words.Known for his benevolent deeds and words, Rajini has transformed his thoughts into a beautiful art form and had presented the same to Kamal. Needless to say, Kamal Haasan was deeply touched by his friend’s gesture. In a choked voice, full of emotion, Kamal states that the art piece will adorn the walls of his office from henceforth along with the pictures of Sivaji Ganesan and Nagesh as a standing testimony to their friendship.

RAJINI AND AJITH FANS BEHIND THIS ATTACK?

The second attack on Jaguar Thangam’s house took place yesterday. It has been alleged that Rajinikanth and Ajith fans were instrumental for this stone pelting attack. Meanwhile, the issue took a different turn with the stunt master trying to render a caste color to the issue, alleged that derogatory remarks about his community were made during the attack.Jaguar Thangam said that both Ajith and Rajini belonged to different states and hence do not know the sentiments of Tamilians. He also appealed to all the Tamil organizations to support him.

RAJINI’S WORDS FOR DANCE CHOREOGRAPHER

Lawrence Raghavendra has constructed a Raghavendra Swami Brindavanam temple in Thirumullaivayal in the suburbs of Chennai which was opened to the public on the 1st January 2010. It has been said that there is a constant inflow of devotees everyday and on Thursdays alone which is said to be an auspicious day for Raghavendra, around 4000 bhakthas throng the temple and offer their prayers. Food is being served to the devotees on Thursdays alone. Superstar who is an ardent Raghavendra swami devotee is constantly keeping in touch with Lawrence to find out how the temple is being run. In one of such discussions, Rajni had reportedly told Lawrence to keep the words “Bow down and come inside, you will be granted what you seek” (Thalai vanangi ulle vaa, kettadu kidaikkum) at the entrance of the temple. Lawrence has plans to keep these enshrined words on the 21st of February which happens to be Raghavendra Swami’s birthday.

Rajini’s emotinal moment for Vishnuvardhan

It was a very emotional moment for superstar Rajinikanth when he watched late Vishnuvardhan’s last movie Aptha Rakshaka which is directed by P. Vasu. The movie was previewed at a theatre in Chennai. Rajini was emotinally moved and later is said to have told director Vasu that he felt that his friend Vishu was alive and talking when he watched the movie and that it was a emotional time for him.
Director Vasu also expressed his wish to remake the movie in Tamil and looks like his first choice will be Rajinikanth.
Aptha Rakshaka is a Kannada language movie which had Vishnuvardhan in the lead role. It was also the star’s 200th film and is expected to be released on Feb 19th. Vishuvardhan passed away on Dec 30th and is greatly missed by the Sandalwood Industry.

RAJINI MEETS CM

Superstar Rajinikanth today met the Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi at his residence and expressed thanks for his presence at the engagement ceremony of his daughter yesterday. Superstar’s younger daughter Soundarya was engaged to a city businessman Ashwin Ramkumar in a simple ceremony yesterday at a city hotel. The chief minister was present with his entire family to bless the to-be married couple.
While coming out of CM’s residence Rajinikanth told, actors attend filmy functions only on their own will and not out of compulsions from anybody. On ‘Endhiran’ the superstar said the film would be ready for release in July in all probability.

SOUNDARYA’S ENGAGEMENT TODAY

Rajini’s youngest daughter Soundarya’s engagement is scheduled to be held this evening at the Park Sheraton Hotel, Chennai. The family ceremony will see Soundarya exchanging rings with groom Ashwin Ramkumar, son of popular industrialist Ramkumar.Although high-flying VVIPs have been invited to the event, for security reasons it is largely considered that only very few invites were distributed. Earlier Rajini and family personally invited AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha and Chief Minister Karunanidhi for the event.

Rajni in Chandramukhi Part 2?

Chandramukhi is a super hit film which had Rajni, Prabhu, Nayanthara and Jyothika in the cast. This film which was produced by Shivaji Productions was directed by P Vasu.

This film is the remake of the Kannada film Aptamitra. Now P Vasu has directed a sequel to the Kannada film with the title Aptarakshaka. Dr Vishnuvardhan who had recently passed away has done the lead role.

Vimala Raman, Sandhya, Latchmi Gopalsamy, Sreenivasamurthy, Vineeth and Gopal Kumar have also acted in this film. This film was exclusively screened for Rajnikanth at AVM preview theatres. Rajni was impressed and appreciated tit.

He said the last 10 minutes was very touching. Now they have planned to make this film in Tamil with the title Chandramukhi Part 2. P Vasu is also interested in making Rajni to act in this version also. But Rajni has not given his word yet.
This film was also screened for Prabhu and Ram Kumar who are the owners of Shivaji Productions. They said if at all the film is remade, Rajni be will their first choice.

Rajini in tears

Last week Super Star Rajinikanth had a preview of Vishnunaradhan’s last film ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ directed by P.Vasu. After watching the movie Rajinikanth was seen visibly moved and almost in tears, according to sources.
"I could not control my emotions after watching this film. It looks as if my friend is alive today and talking. I was really emotional watching this film. I had a feeling that I was watching my own film- Rajinikanth reportedly told director Vasu. Even others who saw the film along with the super star like Ramkumar and Prabhu could not control their emotions.
‘Aptha Rakshaka’ is the 200th film of Kannada Super Star Vishnuvaradhan who died on December 30 last year. The film is all set to be released on February 19.
Now will ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ be made in Tamil and will Ramkumar and Prabhu produce the ‘Chandramukhi’ sequel? Director P Vasu has made it clear that he surely is remaking it and his first choice will always be Rajinikanth.

Why Rajini didn’t invite CM personally?

Several eyebrows in political and film circles went up to note Latha Rajinikanth going without the super star to invite the chief minister Karunanidhi for the engagement of Soundarya Rajinikanth. The incident assumed more significance as the super star himself went to invite the former chief minister Jayalalitha.
But all doubts were put to rest by the super star himself at a function organised by Sanga Thamizh Peravai to felicitate Karunanidhi in Chennai yesterday. Speaking at the function the super star said he would be inviting the Chief Minister personally for Soundarya’s wedding.
“Because, there is a saying that a ruler is like fire and one should neither be too close nor too far from him. So I would always maintain a distance with those in power. However, nothing could stop me from inviting him personally for Soundarya’s marriage” he added amidst thunderous applause from the audience
The felicitation function was also attended by Kamal Haasan and Mammootty from the film industry.

Latha Rajinikanth meets Karunanidhi

Super Star Rajinikanth’s wife Latha Rajinikanth met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi yesterday at his Gopalapuram residence and formally invited him to the engagement ceremony of her daughter Soundarya on February 17.
Daughter Soundarya also accompanied her mother to the chief minister’s house. Soundarya is getting married to a Chennai-based entrepreneur Ashwin later in the year. Karunanidhi’s wife Dayalu Ammal was also present during the meeting.
Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called on the former CM J Jayalalitha at her residence in Poes Garden and invited her for the ceremony.

Rajini in Kannada

Superstar Rajinikanth will appear in a Kannada movie, starring the late Vishnuvaradhan.
It is reported that Superstar Rajinikanth will appear in ‘Aptha Rakshaka’, starring the late Vishnuvaradhan. The exciting part is, the superstar won’t act, but with special effects he will be seen in a song along with other actors like Ambarish and late Rajakumar. This idea was conceived by the director of ‘Aptha Rakshaka’, P. Vasu. According to sources, the special effects for the song will be done in Chennai.
Vasu wanted to pay tributes to Vishnuvaradhan and hence asked Rajini, to which Rajini agreed. It may be recalled that Rajinikanth in his early days of his career, acted with Vishnuvaradhan in Kannada. Our Thalaivar has proved yet again that none are humbler than him.

Soundarya Rajnikanth’S Marriage Engagement On Feb 17

Rajnikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya will be getting married to Chennai based industrialist son Aswin Kumar .The marriage engagement function is to be held in a star hotel in Chennai on 17th of this month. Soundarya is the younger daughter of Super Star Rajnikanth. She had completed her education in Australia. After completing her studies she started her own firm called Orcher Studios. This firm specializes in graphic and animation works. Now she is producing films under the banner Orcher Studios. She is also producing an animation film titled Sultan the Warrior. Her father Rajnikanth is acting in this.Her film Goa which she has produced has been released and is running in the theatres. Her marriage has been finalized. The bridegroom name is Aswin Kumar. He is the son of the popular builder Ram Kumar. Aswin had completed his engineering course in Chennai and has completed his MS in Stanford University in America. The marriage engagement will be taking place in Park Sheraton Hotel on 17th at 7 pm.

Rajini meets Jayalalitha

Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday called on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalitha at the latter’s residence in Chennai, to formally invite her to the engagement ceremony of his youngest daughter Soundarya.
The top actor was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth, elder daughter Aishwarya Dhanush Rajinikanth and Soundarya. They were in the former Chief Minister’s place for about 25 minutes (from 2.20 to 2.45 pm), sources say.
As soon as the news spread that Rajinikanth was calling on Jayalalitha, scores of AIADMK workers and Rajini fans gathered in front of the Poes Garden residence of the former Chief Minister. However, the Superstar and his family members left the place before that, it is said.
The betrothal ceremony of Soundarya with Chennai-based entrepreneur Ashwin is scheduled on February 17. Rajini has been personally inviting his friends and peers for the function.

RAJINI IN GRAPHICS

Director P Vasu has revealed that he has used graphics to create the images of Rajinikanth, Raj Kumar, Ambarish and others in his Kannada film Aptharaksha. According to Vasu, the idea to use graphics to create the images came in after the shooting has been completed. In fact the movie is set to go in for censor certification soon. Since Aptharaksha is the last film in which actor Vishnuvardhan had starred, the director had decided to use the graphics in a song that will be a tribute to the late actor.

RAJINI MEETS FORMER CM

With daughter Soundarya's wedding around the corner, arrangements are being carried out in full swing by the Superstar family. As a precursor to the impending wedding celebrations, Soundarya's engagement is scheduled to be held soon.In this regard, Rajini has formally begun inviting guests for the event. Rajinikanth’s Sultan The Warrior Screens Worldwide With 3500 Prints

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated computer animation film Sultan The Warrior, being directed and produced by Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth, is expected to grace screens worldwide in April with 3,500 prints in 18 languages, including English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. 95% of the film is over.
The music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is likely to hit the stands in the near future. Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of his soundtrack for the Hollywood film Couples Retreat, the composer already said that the compositions in Sultan The Warrior would be “distinctly different”.

Devotion of Rajini Fans!!

KotiLingeshwara temple as the name suggests has more than one crore Lingams. Families can get a Linga in their family name for a price. The Lingam installed for our Super Star has a thousand lingams engraved on it.
The effort to install the Lingam was done by Karnataka State Rajinikanth Fans’ Association president S Simon Raj and secretary Manivannan.

Now Rajinikanth fans in Karnataka have gone and installed a special Sahasra Lingam at Kotilingeshwara Temple, a well known Shiva Temple in Kolar District, Karnataka. They say they did it for the peace and the prosperity for their idol. The lingam was installed with proper vedic chants and special prayers by Vaishnavite priests. This holy site in Karnataka is a place where devotees can install a lingam in their family name for a price. The pundits there will take care of the lingam.

The entire Tamil film industry and small screen celebrities were gathered for the occasion of honoring Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for providing housing schemes for film professionals. When it was a moment of thunder-blast performance by the ducky-stars of Kollywood, the entire throngs were taken to fleet of astonishment with the stunning speech of Ajith Kumar.He was into the act of pleading CM about issuing a direction that film personalities shouldn’t be forced to take part in social and political events. Adding more he said, “We are very often called in for such occasions under critical situations. When, we fail to make our presence, few members barely throw strict words that they wouldn’t extend their support in our times of hardships or any activities. We are just actors and kindly save us by doing justice to our profession….”
Soon as Ajith Kumar delivered such a powerful speech, Superstar Rajnikanth went irresistible over giving a standing ovation to the actor. Indeed, Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi stated that politics and films shouldn’t be mixed for every reason. Chief Guest Amitabh Bachchan supported Ajith Kumar’s statement saying that he wasn’t present here because of political arenas, but for the sake of respect he has for Tamil Cinema.
