Rahman’s Oscar adds great deal to Endhiran & Sultan
Eversince the news broke out on Oscan winning by A R Rahman, the value of the projects that he had signed already started rising up. The producers and directors of such movies are very much elated since they could market their movie well now.
Now at our end, Endhiran which is already a mammoth project already with Superstar and internationally acclaimed beauty queen Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles now gets more bigger with AR Rahman composing the music.
It should be kept in mind that Superstar has already unfolded global markets for Tamil cinema through Chandramukhi and Sivaji. Aiswarya Rai is now an international celeb through her English flicks. Her Pink Panther is slated to release this month.
With all these excitements, the Endhiran crew is in jubilant mood considering there future prospects.

1981 பிப்ரவரி 26 ஆம் தேதி, ஏழுமலையான் முன்பு சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரின் திருமணம் நடைபெற்றது. அதிகாலை பிரம்ம முகூர்த்தத்தில் செல்வி லதாவின் கழுத்தில் சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் மாங்கல்யம் சூட்டி தமது வாழ்க்கை துணையாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

On Thursday, it was the turn of actress Pooja, who had played a blind beggar in the movie to have a tete-a-tete with 'Super Star' Rajinikanth.
Pouring accolades on Pooja for her extra-ordinary performance in Naan kadavul, Rajinikanth said on the occasion that she had proved her acting talent in the movie. He also showed great enthusiasm in getting to know her forthcoming projects.
A thrilled Pooja presented Rajinikanth with a 'holy' shawl, which her father had gifted to her, requesting her to present it to someone she respected a lot.
Rajinikanth too gifted her a shawl and a portrait of Swami Raghavendra.

'Baasha' is back
'Super Star' Rajnikanth's blockbuster hit 'Baasha', which created a stir in political circles of Tamilnadu when released in 1996, is all set to storm the theatres again.
Directed by Suresh Krissna, the movie featuring Rajnikanth, Nagma, Raghuvaran and Janakaraj went on to become a huge hit. Produced by R M Veerappan, 'Baasha' was considered one of the best performances by Rajnikanth in his career.
'Baasha' will be re-released in 10 theatres on 27th February and it will be distributed by OK Films. For avid Rajni fans, it's a time to celebrate. I have an interesting initiative for promotion of 'ENDHIRAN'. This can work out very well for Thalaivar Rajini, Shankar and Sun Pictures. After the next 2 or 3 months, it is going to be IPL fever in India. Why cannot ENDHIRAN be a major promoter to IPL? IPL has won immense hearts of cricket fans in India and around the world. Especially, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is the second best team and is very popular. India Cements Pvt. Ltd. has been sponsoring CSK. Sun Network can turn out to be official sponsors or co-sponsors for Chennai Super Kings. If that is the case there can be an extensive publicity for ENDHIRAN in IPL, because Boss is the image for Chennai. Remember, even Dhoni imitating Thalaivar in IPL – 08? ENDHIRAN is a mega-budget film, around 165 crores, and it needs nation-wide and international marketing to become a mega world-wide blockbuster.
And if stills and clips of the film are released by SUN PICTURES during IPL-'09 as part of promoting the film, just imagine how big would be its reach. Even yesterday, we heard Shilpa Shetty, sponsoring 75 crores for Rajasthan Royals. And now, SUN NETWORK, being a major entertainment house and having a sound political background, they can attract world media and fans towards ENDHIRAN if they sponsor for Chennai Super Kings. And they will financially have no drawbacks or no setbacks. Remember Thalaivar is also a cricket fan. So, if you fans are ready to accept this idea of mine, why can't we, together, post a request to Sun Network, Sun Pictures and Maran brothers? Please think about it and give a positive response. This is one golden opportunity by means of which we, fans, can be really influential in making this movie a MEGA BLOCKBUSTER.

Rajini impressed by ‘Naan Kadavul’
Actor Rajnikanth, after watching 'Naan Kadavul' in an exclusive show, invited director Bala and Arya to his residence to share his thoughts on the movie.
Mightily impressed by the movie, 'Super Star' heaped laurels on the two for the extraordinary work on screen and congratulated them for their meticulous efforts.
A visibly thrilled Rajinikanth said to Bala, 'only you can make such a movie Bala. I am impressed and stunned with the presentation of the film.'
Rajinikanth, who is currently busy shooting for director Shankar's 'Endhiran', appreciated Arya for his performance and wished both Bala and Arya best of success for their future endeavors.
Rajnikanth had also sent a letter for Bala after he watched the movie. In his letter, he appreciated his work and Arya's portrayal. He praised Illayaraja for rendering such astounding musical score.
He had stated in his letter that when he had been to Himalayas on pilgrimage, he had seen many 'Aghori’ Sadhus and Arya have brought those Sadhus right before our eyes in the movie.
He added that 'Naan Kadavul' will make every Tamilian feel proud.

The movie titled Sultan- The warrior will have Rajini in a human role and also a cartoon image role and this is said to be exciting. Rajini will be appearing in the role of a human in few scenes and will be seen as a caricatured image in some action and dancing scenes. Endhiran (Robot) update: Stunt sequence by Chinese Master
s is Shankar’s tradition to turn everything bigger in his films, this time he is bringing a famous Chinese stunt master Yuen Woo Ping in his movie Endhiran . The veteran Chinese stunt master has done choreographing for very famous HollyWood films like ‘The Matrix’, ‘The Matrix Reloaded’, ‘The Matrix Revolutions’. News sources claim that Shankar wanted have never-seen stunt scenes in Endhiran, hence brought Yuen in to the project.
Endhiran is story is believed to be based on Sujatha’s novels: En Iniya Iyanthira and Jeeno. However, Shankar would know this story leakage and he might change the script left and right. Anyway, Shankar film story has always remained a top secret until the release date.

Is Danny the baddie in ‘Enthiran’?
The latest buzz about the Rajnikanth-starrer Enthiran-the Robot, directed by Shankar, is that Danny Denzongpa, the veteran of many Bollywood movies, will be part of the cast. Reports coming in say that Danny will be playing the villain in this film.
Danny, who’s playing Chengiz Khan in the Mark Roemmich-directed The Lost Gold of Khan, has always been liked by South Indians in all kinds of roles. It’s heard that Shankar has made the final choice after considering names like Suman Chakravarthy (of Satya fame) etc. Let’s hope Danny Denzongpa really gets to play villain opposite the ‘Style Mannan’.
