Dhanush says that he is dedicating the National Award to Rajnikanth

Dhanush while speaking about being chosen for the National Award said," I was happy when I came to know that the film Aadukalam was sent for National Award. When I came to know that I got the award, I was extremely happy.
I am very grateful to the juries of the National Award. Because nobody knows Dhanush in North India. Next I am very thankful to my mother and father. They are also responsible for all I get. There is also a great part in this award for my brother Selvaraghavan who taught me acting.
I am thankful to my wife Aishwarya who has been telling from day one that I will be getting award for this film. I am also grateful to Kalanidhi Maaran who reached this film to everyone.
Above all I am dedicating this award to Rajni sir. I pray that he should get well soon and come back home."
