Super Star Rajinikanth fans spiritedly celebrated their super star's 31st Wedding Anniversary with fervour and devotion.
The South Chennai Saidapet region Rajini fans associations celebrated the event combining Rajini's Diamond Birthday.
Spirited fans burst crackers, performed traditional ‘palabishekam’ over the vinyl hoardings of their idol and they also distributed essentials items free to the poor and needy. Tri-cycles for the physically challenged, dresses for 60 men, rice for 60 families were distributed by the fans.
Fans on the day expressed their anguish over some people dragging the super star into the Tamil – Non Tamil controversy. They said the super star is beyond such petty parochial thoughts and he belongs to the whole world.
‘Naadodigal’ fame Vijay Vasanth was a guest at the function and he distributed the welfare kits.
Super Star Rajinikanth married then a Ethiraj College student Latha Rangachari in Tirupati on 26 February 1981.
