Soundarya Rajinikanth teams up with Warner Bros

South Indian films are truly going global, and making it happen is Soundarya Rajnikanth. If her father Rajnikanth is the badshah of box office, his daughter Soundarya has emerged as the superstar of the boardroom. As the managing director of Ocher Studios, she has pulled off a major coup by tying up with Warner Brothers Pictures India for joint production of films in all four south Indian languages.

According to a joint statement from Soundarya and Blaise Fernandes, country head, Warner Bros, “the pact covers the production and distribution of ‘live action’ south Indian language films to be released by Warner Bros.”
Ocher Studios’ debut film, “Sultan the warrior” in 3D format is currently under production. Directed by Soundarya, the animation film features Rajnikanth. ‘Sultan’ is scheduled for release in 12 different world languages. “The creative skills of Soundarya and our marketing network make it a case of perfect synergy,” said Warner Bros executive vice president Richard J Fox.

The question of whether Rajnikanth would act in the joint venture is likely to be hotly debated in the coming days. Source: timesofindia.indiatimes
