Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan among others are scheduled to take part in a three-day conference of the All India Film Employees Federation Conference (AIFEC) to be held in Chennai from 9 to 11 October.
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, chairman of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) K Balachandar, president V C Guhanathan, Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan and South India Artistes Association general secretary Radha Ravi said shootings would be cancelled on the above days to enable all those connected to film industry to take part in the conference.
Held once in three years, the conference, which is coming to the city after 35 years, is scheduled at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium and Chennai Trade Centre. The conference will also see elections for the all India body. Over 30,000 film technicians are expected to take part.
