After Rajinikanth had asked his fans not to celebrate his birthday as a mark of protest against the atrocities meted out to Lankan Tamils, Rajini fans have gone a step further and have organized a fast to protest against the genocide in Sri Lanka.
It can be recalled that Kamal Haasan had also asked his fans not to celebrate his birthday owing to the same reason. Numerous political parties and actors have been expressing solidarity with the Lankan Tamils as scores of Tamils have been killed and displaced because of the ongoing fierce battle in the island nation.
Actor Vijay too had gone on a one day fast along with his fans recently.
