Kuselan Movie Photo Gallery
It’s official now. P Vasu’s Kuselan, starring Rajini, Pasupathi, Nayanthara and Meena, will hit the screens in the state in the month of July.
Disclosing this at a press conference, Director P Vasu said that the Kuselan movie’s Telugu version would be called Kathanayakadu and not Kuseladu, as reported by some sections of the media.
Vasu also revealed that one song in the film would focus on the technicians of the film industry as the Tamil film industry is celebrating its diamond jubilee year.
Stating that the project had been completed in a short period of 85 days, the director explained that they had shot at least 60 scenes and 5 songs for the movie
“Even if we had shot one scene a day for the movie, which is an extremely difficult target to achieve, we would have required 100 days to complete the movie as the songs would have required some more time. But the fact that we were able to finish the project in a matter of 85 days says a lot about how we have worked. Only some computer graphics and re-recording work remains. The rest is done,” he said.
On being asked if the movie was shot in a hurry, he said, “The movie was made swiftly but it wasn’t made in a hurry.”
The director said that the movie will have all the commercial elements in it and that there were “inch-to inch punch dialogues in the film.”
“I have not reduced the elements that fans of Rajini expect,” he said.Lauding cameraman Arvind Krishna for his fine work, the director said, “If we were able to complete the project in such a short period of time, it was because of the cameraman, whose lighting and shots were excellent.”
He also had words of praise for GV Prakash, the music director of the film. “Rajini, who saw Prakash, after listening to the music was surprised as the 22-year-old has talent beyond his age. He asked me thrice, ‘Has he composed the music’,” Vasu added.
“The BGMs are excellent. The fact that he is from the A R Rahman family clearly shows,” he said.
Vasu, who is to direct a Hindi film next, was pleased that Sai Meera had brought the rights for the worldwide release of the film when it was being shot itself.
He said Rajini, Meena and Nayanthara, were the only three artistes who had been featured in both the Tamil and Telugu versions. All other artistes are different, he pointed out. Source: timesofindia.
