Rajinikanth is fit as a fiddle and raring to go.
The superstar of Tamil cinema, made his first public appearance on Saturday (October 29) at a felicitation ceremony for director SP Muthuraman, with whom he had worked in 25 films.
Appearing at a public function for the first time, after his return from Singapore he was spotted in a blue jeans and a white cotton shirt. The actor looked rejuvenated and fit as a fiddle, completely cured of his illness, which had earlier left his fans distraught.
The superstar said he wanted to make his first public appearance at the Sankara Ratna Award being conferred on SP Muthuraman. Rajinikanth at the function said: “ Now that I’m fully cured, thanks to prayers and fans love, I thought that I will make my first appearance at SPM felicitation function. I have done 25 films with him and consider him as one of my mentors.”
Rajinikanth made it clear that his priorities are to play the hero till the end. The superstar said among thunderous applause : “I have no retirement plans. As a hero my only talent which attracted the viewers is my speed and style on screen. I’m not Sivaji Ganesan or Kamal Haasan who have excelled by their acting powers’. I can only play the hero and as long as I have energy and good health I will continue to act.”
